How do I set up the vault (edited)

I'm trying to use Quicken 17, (Non-Subscription). I managed to get it installed on my Windows 10 Pro, used an Intuit PW, and got connected to three of my bank accounts. It wanted to use the VAULT to store the bank (and other account) passwords, so I entered what I thought would be a VAULT Password. But.... it did not work. I've tried everything, to include 40 minutes of on-line chat with what was supposed to be Quicken Support (Outsourced). He/She tried, but gave up. (Removed-Rant)

After installing Q 2017, did you manage to get the latest bug fixes (patch files) installed?
You need those because of the migration away from Intuit IDs to Quicken IDs.
Download and install the file fromhttps://www.quicken.com/support/quicken-2017-windows-release-notes-updates-and-mondo-patch
Once you have the file registered properly under a valid Quicken ID you should be able to set up your bank passwords within the Password Vault.
If you have problems with the Password Vault, try resetting it.
