Why did Quicken disable my 2015 version?

I've been using Quicken for many years, my latest version being Quicken Deluxe 2015. Recently my computer crashed and I replaced the hard drive and re-installed Quicken, but now a sign-in page pops up and whenever I enter my ID/Pswd I get a page saying there is a problem and to try again later. I contacted Quicken about the problem and they simply said that old versions are no longer supported. I am not asking for support, nor do I use the on-line features - - I just want to balance my checkbook. When I purchased Q 2015 I was never told that one day the company would make it useless. Does anyone know of any way to disable the sign-in screen so I can use the program I paid for? I'd hate to think of what it would be like if all my programs "timed out" and required a $50/year subscription!
