transfer and expense in the same transaction (Q Mac)

I transfer an amount between a checking and saving account and also show a category of expense. It does not show up in the monthly inc/exp report

This is expected. To Quicken, it is a transfer and neither an income or expense as you are moving money between accounts. 

Both sides of the transaction are cancelling each other out, and that is why you don't see it in your reports.
