How do I stop chargecard downloads from auto categorizing (Q Mac)

The category’s my chargecard company select are incorrect and when I download into Quicken (MAC subscription version), I always have to go back and re-categorize since it never remembers the category’s I’ve assigned for years. It started doing this about 2 years ago when I switched to the subscription version. It’s a major waste of my time always have to correct the category’s after downloading and I don’t always catch all the wrong categories

There are a lot of discussions on this site regarding how payees and categories show when they are downloaded. For example here:

Have you tried the fix mentioned? From the "Quicken" menu, choose "Preferences" and then click on the "Connected Services" tab. See if you have "Automatically improve the quality of downloaded payee names and categories" checked (see attachment).
