How can I change an account that is set up as an asset to an investment account? In settings it doesn’t offer investment. If the solution is to open a new account how do I transfer all the transactions at once?

QMac won't let you change the type Asset to Investment. So, create a new Investment account. Then select all transactions in the Asset account and drag/drop them into the Investment account in the sidebar. They will appear in the Investment account as transaction type Payment/Deposit.Quicken Mac Subscription; Quicken Mac user since the early 90s6

Unfortunately, you have no choice but to create an investment account et rewrite your transactions correctly.0

ChantalH: Did you try going to the "Account Details" screen of the asset account, clicking on the "Display Options" tab and selecting "Investment" from the drop-down menu under "Account Intent"?

This is one account type change that should be allowed in Quicken.
