One of my categories suddenly changed its name to a bunch of random letters

I was doing some category rearranging and everything seemed fine. Then a week or so later I noticed that my vacation category suddenly had a weird name with a bunch of letters (CC203FA7-EE79-42A8-8ECB-CF8465FF1791) and some, but not all, of its sub-categories had gone away. Er, any guesses as to what happened? Anything I should do to make sure this doesn't happen again?

You likely have Mobile enabled.
I would restore a good copy of your data file (if you have one) or fix your existing desktop file. Do NOT sync the file to mobile/update accounts. When your desktop file is correct, File: Save a Backup, and then reset cloud data under Connected Services in Quicken: Preferences:
This will purge the Cloud data. Wait a few minutes, and then you can update accounts/sync your data.

Thanks! I did have mobile turned on, even though I never used it. I'll follow your instructions and see how things go.0
