Can I delete a PORTFOLIO in Brokerage and then let it rebuild from the Transactions

The transactions are all correct but the Portfolio contains an Entry entitled "Cash" that is
not supported by any transactions.

You cannot delete the portfolio. It rebuilds/recalculates each time you switch to that view.
I suggest you reexamine your transactions: look at the running balance-that should be the same as displayed in the portfolio. If that amount is suspect, then scroll to the very beginning of the register and look to see if a Placeholder transaction has been entered to give you a cash balance. That is the usual suspect.

Following your advice, I found a Buy entry 8 years ago in the exact amount that triggered the erroneous balance thru today. I deleted the entry and just like magic the erroneous line in the portfolio disappeared and it now agrees with the brokers statement. I thank you for your help
