How do I set up a loan in Quicken Starter Edition

When I click on Add Account, there is no option to set up a loan. I just renewed my subscription in December 2019, so I'm not a new user but none of the categories fit my question. Thanks in advance.

Quicken Starter does not support loadn or investment accounts. You need Quicken Deluxe or higher.

I appreciate your prompt reply. Not being able to track a loan seems pretty chintzy, don't you think? Many folks have mortgages, yet may not need many of the options offered in the more expensive versions. I hope Quicken will rethink this option in the Starter Edition.

Starter Edition is, deliberately, restricted in what account types if offers. It's intentionally designed for those just starting their financial lives.

Deluxe is the product you need.
