Downloaded stock sales do not reduce total stocks owned

This has been going on for months. Total shares under portfolio view is never reduced after a sale is made. In the past, I could force an update by entering a Remove Shares transaction and then delete it to force the inclusion of the stock sale. Now I can't even force at update with Remove Shares. Why isn't this a major problem for more Quicken users? Not that many track their investments?
