How do I get my balance column to show on my bank register ?

I've followed directions by going going to the columns and choosing 'Balance', but it won't show.

Good. If you have an actual account selected (and the balance account is an option), then make sure you are sorted by Date by clicking on the date column header.
In older versions of Quicken for Mac, the balance column will only populate when sorted by date for obvious reasons.
If you still don't see a balance, then click on the "Clear Filters" button at the top of your register. Some filters will also prevent displaying the running balance.5

The Balance column will populate/show by default.
Do you have an actual account selected in the sidebar? If you don't, the balance won't be an option.0 -
I have an account selected in the sidebar and the balance option with a check mark. Still don't see in on my register.0
