Can I categorize a dividend as Investments:Dividend if it is auto deposited to my checking account?

Quicken does not allow me to select the investments:Dividend category for this deposit. I have set up a category Personal Income:Dividend Income, but would prefer it show up as Investment income. Is there some method to accomplish this? Thanks.

You will not be able to use the Investing category types (such as Investments:Dividend) in non-investment accounts. You will have to use another category such as you have setup.
If you have your investing account setup in quicken, then you would use the correct Investment:Dividend, and then another transfer transaction to move the $ over to checking. That transaction wouldn't have a category. If you download transactions in your checking account, the download would match (or you manually match) to your transfer transaction. This would keep reporting correct as you wouldn't see Dividends being reported twice (once from the dividend, and another from your Personal Income:Dividend Income.)5
