Tracking Mortgage payments
jweigh
I've gotten to create a mortgage account but need to know how to have it record the "splits" (principal, interest and escrow) into there respective categories (I think that where they should go??) and then view them so I know that it worked like it did in the older version of Quicken I was using. Also have it Go to the loan amortization schedule and such to keep that up to date.
Thanks for any help given, Jerry

As part of the mortgage setup, the dialog should have guided you to setting up either a
Scheduled Reminder
or a
Memorized Payee List entry
(whichever you decided to use).
The splits you are looking for are in there.
However, if you decided to connect the loan account to the bank for information downloading, you will not see a traditional transaction register as part of the loan account. Any and all information displayed comes from whatever the bank downloads.
The monthly payment reminder will have a category, something like Loan:Principal to record principal and optional additional principal amounts paid.
Only if the loan account is disconnected from the bank will you have a full register, a full payment schedule and a scheduled payment reminder which transfers principal and additional principal from Checking to your loan account, thus correctly reducing its balance
