Bigfootsf Hello, thank you for reaching out.
Usually when Quicken prompts to have entries resolved, but there aren’t transactions in the download transaction section, it means that they have already been accepted and are now stuck in the process, which sounds like the case in your situation. We may be able to see them through the online center and resolve the issue from there.
From the Tools menu, chose the Online Center option. The online center window will appear. Chose the bank institution and from there, chose the account that has the red flag.
You may see transactions listed in the space below, or it may be blank. If there are transactions listed and clicking on the Compare To Register option does not move them to the Downloaded Transaction section of the register, then they are in fact stuck.
From here we will change a couple of settings in effort to reset them. Through the EDIT menu, chose Preferences. In the preferences window chose Downloaded Transactions. From the options that appear in the window, select AUTOMATICLLY ADD TO BANKING REGISTERS and AUTOMATICLLY ADD TO INVESTMENT TRANSACTION LISTS.
Now we will change a setting for the specific account with the flag. Go to the TOOLS menu and chose Account List. Click on the EDIT button that corresponds with the account. In the window that appears chose the Online Services tab. Near the top/ middle there is a hyperlink with the text “Automatic entry is:”. Click on the link and in the window that appears chose the middle option “Yes – Always automatically add transactions for this account”.
Close Quicken and then reopen the software. The flag should be gone. If these steps do not work and the flag is still there please let me know so that I can further assist you.
Also, don't forget to change your downloaded transactions back to your preference!
