Why are all of my payees labeled with the same name?

I have used Quicken for over 20 years. Recently I started completely fresh with a new version of software. I did not important any previous banking information.

After the first download of several months of transactions, I spent hours labeling all of them with a payee name and category. Today I downloaded all new transactions. To my horror, about 90% of them are labeled with the same payee name. I'm slowly figuring out how to relabel them (sort of). But I don't understand how this happened. With previous versions of Quicken I used to have this problem sometimes, but never on this scale. I'm this close to never using Quicken again.
