Entered manual transactions do not show up in my account even when I check the date. Why?

Quicken Windows Subscription Member
Have used Quicken forever to keep track of finances (not pay bills). My last Quicken was 2016. Two days ago download subscription version Q Deluxe for Windows. It picked up the account where I left off, but will not take new, manually entered transactions. The "entered" transactions do show in the "memorized" transactions. It must be something simple. What will correct this problem.
