Thank you for reaching out on the community and telling us about your issue. You've been using quicken for quite a while. There are a couple of things that you could always try.
One thing you can try is a validate and repair to see if there's potentially anything hanging it up. If you go into the top right to File -> File Operations -> Validate and repair. Once there check the option that says validate file and continue with the steps listed. This should potentially clean up anything it might be hanging on.
The other thing that's also an option but not as ideal is a year end copy. The year end copy will make a copy of your current file for historical purposes and then in file will delete all the transactions to a certain date upon your decision. This would clean up entries that are from a long time ago but still have an option to go back to them if you do need to so. Again I know this isn't the ideal option but it is one that we could potentially try.Please let us know if this helps out!
