There is no automated way to do this, but it can be done. It is very important, however, that you make backups before you try anything so that you can always go back if you do not like the results.
- Create backups of your data via File: Save a Backup
- Create an additional backup that you will temporarily use.
- Restore that backup to a new file-I suggest giving it a name such as "Temp"
- If your "temp" file has any accounts that already exist in your main file, you need to delete them so that they don't get duplicated after merging.
- When your file is ready to be merged, choose File:Export:Quicken Windows Transfer (QXF) file. Save that to a place like the desktop so that you can locate it.
- Using File:Recent, open your main file you want your temp file merged into
- Then, File:Import:Quicken Windows (QXF) file and point to the file created in step 5
