How Do I Add Monthly Subtotals to a Spending Report Which Covers a year?
jaydubau
Hi. I'm using Quicken Windows for family finances. I create reports which show our spending in various categories, such as restaurants, gas, etc. I would like to add monthly subtotals, so I can see how much our spending at restaurants changes month to month over the course of a year. I don't see option on the Report, Display Tab to turn that function on.
Is there a way that I can do that?
Thanks,
John

Have you tried the Spending By Category report and selecting the option for monthly columns?

Thanks Bob. That certainly did the trick!!
Now if I can be picky, do you know of a way for the report to be vertical (itemized categories) vs. horizontal (spending by category). It would just make my formatting easier, being portrait vs landscape, but your was certainly works.

No, not that I know of, and it would get pretty long very quickly.
