Can't make it work for Mac:
:the gear in the upper right does not exist
:a 'settings' gear shows lower right but doesn't contain anything I recognize about splits
:the pictogram you show I think is what I want

I used split entry to show the basic purchase price AND the sales tax paid. I will want to show each and total each by category on a print-out

I understand - the other thread was based on a question about the Windows program and it doesn't translate to the Mac. Hopefully one of your Mac colleagues will reply with a solution.
