Quicken Deluxe 2020 - Is there a setting/check box to cause payment entries into a register to automatically bring up the last payment to the same source? It did that in my older version. Example: write a check to John Doe and it auto populates the last John Doe with the memo and tax category already selected. Then it's just a mater of changing the memo if necessary.

    From the menu bar click Edit->Preferences. Then select "Data entry and Quickfill" from the vertical list of choices along the left side of the window.

    Mine is set such that: For "Data entry" options, I have everything checked but the first box. For "QuickFill and Memorized Payees" options I only have the first box checked.

    Click OK
