Changing name of new security purchased causes ABEND

I purchased a new security that Quicken recognized was not in my existing list of securities. On the screen that pops up for a new security, I modified the security name by removing the word CORP from it. I hit the Next button and Quicken closed without warning.
I restarted Quicken, went to the investment account, and Quicken closed without warning.
I restarted Quicken, went to a different investment account and it opened normally. I went to the problem account and the new security screen opened normally. I clicked Next to accept the default name and Quicken closed without warning.
I restarted Quicken, went to the problem account and the new security screen opened normally. I clicked Cancel to see what happens and Quicken closed without warning.
Has anyone else experienced behavior like this? I assume that the security database has become corrupted and that a backup must be restored.
Thanks in advance.

I concur. You should restore a backup saved before Quicken first closed without warning.5
