Is it possible to clear splits from multiple transactions at once? (Q Mac)

Currently, I have to select each transaction individually and select "clear all splits">"save" to remove splits from each transaction. I would like to be able to select multiple transactions and remove the splits, replacing them with once category as you can when you right-click multiple transactions and select "edit transaction">"category">"ok". Is this possible?

I've never found a way to do this, and I don't think it is possible. I've even tried workarounds like adding a transfer tag to the items to essentially copy them to another account to trick it into changing to a single category, but it just ignores bulk edits on splits. The only thing you can edit is the payee. Even tags cannot be added in bulk.
