Quicken Freezing Up

Recently my Quicken started hanging up for no apparent reason. I don't see any patterns, but out of the blue my Quicken screen goes slightly darker...like it is processing something...but then it doesn't allow me to do anything going forward...no matter how long I wait. The only way for me to close the app once this happens is to go to the Task Manager and close it.

Your Quicken data file should be in a folder on a local drive that is not synched to any cloud service. You backup can be on a cloud drive.

What is the full path to the folder that contains your Quicken data file? Do you have Controlled Folder Access enabled in Windows Defender? Are you using OneDrive, Dropbox or Google Backup?

I did have my data file on OneDrive and I just moved it to my "C" drive. I'm using McAfee, not windows defender. Now you got me thinking I'm doing a 2 tier process to backup my data. I have my computer synched to OneDrive and I'm backing up to an external WD drive.
