prompted to create new category instead of using existing category

Quicken Windows Subscription Member ✭✭
Suddenly, I am being prompted to create a new category when trying to use an existing category. How can this be corrected?

I think I may have found my own solution. I reverted back to a version prior to a validate that I did a few days ago and it seems the existing categories are working again. Why a validate file operation should break things is a mystery...0
