Is this another quirk in QIF export of Investment data?

In the QIF export dialog you have a choice to set begin and end dates for data. This seems to work OK for transactions, but unfortunately the export seems to include ALL price history.

The bad part of this is that after you import the QIF file into another QDF, the Holdings display for the account will show a fake balance unless you specifically set the end date for the display.

A cutoff date for transactions should also be the cutoff date for any related price history.
