Quicken Account Names

Quicken had (and possibly still has) an issue where if you went to your bank's online access and created an alias for accounts, that broke Quicken's ability to download transactions. A few years ago I aliased the bank accounts to make them easier to distinguish. I had to disconnect my online accounts, go back to the bank and remove aliases, then reconnect to resolve the issue in Quicken. If I change the name in Quicken and leave the bank side untouched, will that cause similar problems? On a related note, have the issues with aliased accounts in Quicken been resolved?

Changing the name in Quicken will not affect transaction download ability. Rename to  your liking.

I don't have a way of testing, but last I heard is that aliases can cause issues with connecting to some banks.
