Cannot reconcile some accounts
gus
I'm trying to reconcile my loan accounts and the "Reconcile Account" option under Accounts for those accounts are greyed out. I read several threads and it seems that the only solution is to convert them to a liability account. Is this a bug? Or is it a lack of functionality? I want keep the loan option but be able to reconcile. Can you provide some insight?

You are correct – loan accounts cannot be reconciled. It's just the way they're set up, for whatever reason. All other types of accounts can be reconciled (note – only the cash portion of investment accounts can be reconciled).
I just click on the "Clr" box and turn it blue when I match my balance against the most recent statement.
