New users don't get the edit bar. They must drag image files from their computers and drop them into the text entry box.

- Is this the post you are referring to?:

.
If so, my first thought is that he/she never responded to any of the questions or suggestions that others had posted so it's no surprise that there's been no resolution, yet.
I do like @
Quicken Francisco
's suggestion in that other post thread about
setting up a new Quicken file (his instructions about how to do this are pretty good). After the program is open, pull up the ERO app and see if it looks normal or if it has the same issue. If it looks normal then it's a pretty good indication that your main data file might have some corruption in it. If it looks the same then it is a pretty good indication that the problem might well be with your Quicken program. Let us know what you see in the test file. That can help to define what the next step(s) should be.

In order to see the Property & Debt menu, you must have created at least one Property & Debt type of account. Otherwise the menu doesn't appear at all.

- Ah...the problem is with the software on your desktop, not with the data file. That is good as it should be a much easier fix to implement. I suspect it is not your Quicken program but the ERO add-on app that is corrupted but the fix is the same: Uninstall Quicken from your desktop. Then download and install Quicken from either your Quicken.com account or from
https://www.quicken.com/support/how-do-i-download-quicken-quickencom-after-i-buy-it
.
If you have any issue with the uninstall/reinstall, you should follow the process spelled out here:
https://www.quicken.com/support/using-qcleanui-uninstall-quicken
. (Some SUs here suggest doing this Clean Uninstall process right from the start. But I've found that usually a standard Uninstall usually works well so I don't usually do it unless I run into problems with the standard Uninstall.)
During the installation and setup process you should be given the option to open an existing data file instead of creating a new file. Once you select your existing data file that will become your default file location and your Backup folder should be there, as well. And since your Quicken settings and preferences are all contained in your data file you should be able to pick up with it right where you left off.
The one thing I am not sure of: You will probably need to install the ERO add-on app after you have installed Quicken. I do not know if all the information you currently have entered in ERO will still be present there.
So, make a back-up before you do this uninstall/reinstall. If the ERO data is not there after you install the ERO app, then you can restore your backup file and everything should then be visible.
Let us know how it works out for you.

No, uninstalling Quicken removes only Quicken's program files. It does not remove your data or backup files. It also won't remove any reports you have exported and saved there. But it's always good to have backups of your backups!
Good to know about your ERO data being present. I would expect that to be the case if you first install ERO and then open the file. My concern was about not knowing what would happen to the ERO data if you opened your data file before you installed ERO. That's why I suggested you backup your data file first before doing the uninstall/reinstall so if when you install ERO your ERO data is missing you can simply restore your backup file and all will be good.
