I have an account that is not easily reconciled in Quicken and I want to add the instructions on how to do so in a reminder.

No, you can't add a note to a reminder. Only a memo. You could add an Account Attachment. Actions gear menu > Account attachments. This allows you to attach a document to an account as opposed to a transaction. Since it's not a reminder, you'd have to remember to look at it when needed.

Since this seems to be an account-level issue (how to reconcile), I'd be inclined to put the explanation in the Comments section of the Account Details. You could then have a Reminder transaction that would also reference that set of comments.6

Yes you can add any description to the memo field in the reminder. This is true for bill and income reminders, as well as CC accounts and investments.
It only becomes visible when posted to the account however. You can see it if you select Edit if needed.0 -
Quicken allows both Notes and Memos to be added to individual banking transactions. They are not the same thing. Notes cannot be saved with Reminders as Memos can.

Thanks everyone for your feedback. I think the account attachment is the best fit for what I am looking to do. I didn't realize that the attachment function existed. Thanks again!1

Notes on Reminders would be helpful. I have a need for that. I use notes to "remind" me of certain tasks and functions that I need to perform. In this case, it is a task I need to perform on a reminder.
