Quicken freezes on second open (Q Mac)

macOS 10.16

I'm moving my Quicken Mac file from an older Mac Mini to a new iMac 2020

Installing Quicken was fine and I can open the file without problem. Everything looks fine.

But, when I close, then reopen Quicken, the icon in the menu bar bounces once, the Quicken menu appears on top, then nothing. I get a spinning ball if I hover over the menu bar on top.

I have to force quit Quicken, then uninstall Quicken then reinstall to open it again. It works fine once, but goes through the same freeze on reopening.

    Quicken Mac seems to have fixed itself. Tried it today and got a message that the file format was being updated. Seems OK now.
