Do I need to use the same userid for installs on different computers

I loaded quicken deluxe subscription on a second computer. It would not activate the app with the user I’d I had on the previous version I had on the second computer. As a result, I activated it with the same userid I use on the first computer.
Is that what I was supposed to do?
Also, as they are the same user I’d, will I have problems downloading my bank transactions to the separate computers or will I get some transactions on one install and others on the second install?
Appreciate the help

Yes, your userid identifies your Quicken subscription and must be used on all installs.
You will get all your banking transactions on both computers, they work independently of each other.Quicken 2017 Premier - Windows 10 Pro5
