Can't disconnect Quicken desktop from cloud data.

I did a Quicken update which deleted 3 months worth of transactions from my data file (local). I had done a local backup the day before and so I did a restore from that but Quicken is not actually restoring from the local file. I know it's now because the transactions are also missing from what should be older backups. I have spoken with 3 tech support persons today and each have ended up just hanging up without resolving anything.

  • What's the point of doing backups if Quicken is going to ignore them? Turning off Mobile/Web Sync (which I never use) makes no difference.
