preferred share symbols in quicken canada

How are these entered for update purposes?

  • Hello @aberdeen

Thank you for reaching out on the community and telling us about your issue. We'll need a bit more info here. What exactly are you looking to do? Are you trying to add new symbols into quicken?  The symbols should correspond with what you see in the markets so there shouldn't be an issue with adding them.

Here's an article with more information with how to download inside of Quicken. Let me know if this helps you out!

    Thanks,

Thanks for the responses. I have now discovered by experiment that the normal symbol for a preferred share must be altered from " .pr. " to " - " and then the quote will be downloaded. For example TD-R instead of TD.Pr.R.

Glad to hear you were able to experiment a bit and find out where the problems were coming from. If you do have any other questions about quicken feel free to post another question or comment on an existing one!

    Thanks,
