The Investing Average Return for YTD, 1-YR, 3-YR work properly. 5-YR is not working

The 5-YR calculation yields the same number as the 3-YR calculation for all stocks and mutual funds

Have you held these securities for more than 3 years?

For securities purchased after the starting date of the analysis, the performance calculation starts on the purchase date.

  • Just started. 5 yr avg = 3 yr avg for every stock and mutual fund. Created a new quicken file, same results

See my previous reply. If the purchase date in Quicken for a security was say 2 years ago, then the 3-year and 5-year Avg Annual Return will be computed from the purchase date and will be the same.

  • Yes, I understand that. For about a week, all of my stocks & mutual funds showed the same 3 yr and 5 ry returns, regardless of the time of purchase. A recent update appears to have corrected the issue.
