I am being asked for a password on a file which has never had a password. What do I need to do?

I strongly suspect that your data file was damaged the last time you used it. As a result of this, you are now asked for a data file password when you never had one before.Restore your Quicken data file from a Manual or Automatic Backup taken prior to the problem first occurring, if necessary going back to older backups until you find a file that does not exhibit these symptoms.
