My Quicken was working fine. I logged in yesterday and it automatically installed an update. Since then I can't open up Quicken. I've called and chatted with Quicken, and both people told me to just buy a subscription. I don't want to - I just want to use the software I already bought. (btw the chat guy Victor was very rude. He said twice - To be honest why would you expect unauthorized software to work anymore (gee thanks for your honesty Victor)

I suggest you perform a clean uninstall, install while disconnected from the internet, and update of Quicken 2017. If you haven’t already, you may want to review: https://www.quicken.com/support/using-qcleanui-uninstall-quicken To update Quicken, I recommend you download and apply the Quicken 2017 R20.5 Mondo Patch: http://www.quicknperlwiz.com/quickenpatches.html

To prevent Quicken from applying an update without your approval, I suggest you set Windows UAC settings appropriately (choose default or always notify).

You open the Quicken 2017 installation program you downloaded from the internet.
