want to separate a holding from an IRA investment group so it is stand alone

I have an IRA investment with multiple holdings. My Financial planner is removing a holding from the IRA account holder due to fees. It remains as is, it is just held by by the company itself, separate from the IRA
Is there a way of removing it to make it a stand alone investment account?

It sounds as if the holding has been moved to a different account. If that is the case, you can create the new IRA account in Quicken.

Then in the old account, click on Enter Transactions and use the Shares Transferred between accounts action to move the holding.
