Why is Quicken insisting on adding Discover Card as a manual, checking account? It was the VPN

When I try account, add, Discover Card, it is added as a manual, checking account.

    I can now answer my own question. I installed Norton VPN to ensure privacy when using public WiFi and it is set up to start automatically when the PC starts up. Quicken was apparently not able to communicate with Discover via the VPN and was creating the manual checking account by default. With VPN turned off Discover added fine.
