Downloaded transactions are not assigning categories correctly

Recently, some categories are automatically assigning unrelated categories. For example, gas station transactions, which used to be download with category Auto:Gas, often is categorized as Charity. How can I permanently assign a category to a specific Payee?

You might look at how your memorized payee list is set up Linda. See the attached https://www.quicken.com/support/how-use-memorized-payee-list-quicken-windows for reference.
I found for me that by locking a payee category helped prevent generating multiple categories or random category assignments for different payees. 
Find the list thru Tools > Memorized Payee List
It's also a good time to delete additional categories that may have been assigned to a payee over time if they are not being used.
