How can I remove the Pencil icon from the register in bulk
Paulgamau
How can I remove the Pencil icon from the register in bulk. When doing the reconcile, none of the items with the pencil appear in the register. I don't want it added nor, do I want to use it going forward.

Are you referring to this (you can expand that column to see the text):
If so as the text indicates the transactions is uncleared (Clr field is blank).
Uncleared transactions should appear in the reconcile window, they should just not have the green check mark, like this:
If these transactions aren't appearing in the reconcile window it is probably because you are reconciling to the online balance and that date on that is older than the transactions. If you select the Balance button in the reconcile window it will give you that date. If it is wrong then you might have to reconcile to the "statement balance" (as in the one you put in manually, it doesn't have to be the actual statement balance it might be the current balance that you get from the financial institution's website).

Hi Paulgamau,
Would it be possible to give a little more detail on exactly what you are doing to create this condition? Possibly a screenshot ?
Here is a link explaining what each of the icons that appear in the accounts and what they mean:
https://help.quicken.com/display/MAC/Status+icons+in+your+Quicken+account+register#:~:text=An orange pencil icon turns, blue icon and select Reviewed
. Maybe the icon details can help you figure out what is happening.
Are you trying to reconcile downloaded transactions from a financial institution that you may have possibly also entered manual transactions for?
Give us feedback, there are plenty of experienced users here that can assist.
