I want to move a sub category to a different category (Q Mac)

I have found some of my utility sub-categories in the wrong category and want to move them to a better place. The editing dialog for these doesn't show the related category where it is placed. Can it be moved? Or do I have to start from scratch?

Open the Category List.
Select the subcategory that you want to move and drag it to the new location.

Watch the graphics carefully.
Note that you can use drag/drop to move a subcategory to another parent category.
You can move a subcategory to a parent category.
You can move a parent category to a subcategory position.
