Unable to connect to Wells Fargo DC

    I'm using Quicken Home, Business, and Rental Property, R32.12, Windows 10 home, membership expires in 2022 . I had Direct Connect and changed my user name and password on Wells Fargo. When I try to re-establish Direct Connect on Quicken, my log in information is rejected repeatedly, even though it works just fine when I log on through my browser. I've signed out of ID and Cloud accounts, signed back in, and tried to add the accounts, as has been suggested. I've deactivated all my WF accounts, after looking for hidden or closed accounts. Please advise.

    Thank you for reaching out on the community and telling us about your issue. I do apologize for the issue you're having. I'm wondering here when you've tried deactivating and reactivating your accounts from Wells Fargo did you ever have to use the FMSSetup to get it connected? It's a normal step for connecting to Wells Fargo DC.  I'll leave steps down below on how to do so.

    First thing I'll recommend is to save a backup to revert back to just in case. You can find how to do so down below.

    Next we'll try deactivating all of the accounts. You can do so by following the article listed down below.

    Once all the accounts are deactivated go ahead and follow the article here on reconnecting the accounts.  Right before you try connecting you'll also want to go to the FMSSETUP link down below for Wells Fargo so that it'll accept the connection.

    Once you get the chance let us know what you're able to find out. From there we'll see what we're able to do next.

    I have had many problems with Wells Fargo and have determined that quicken bill pay is causing the internal wells fargo fraud detection system to flag the account. Eventually this causes the wells fargo system to force you to change your user name and password. I have changed my wells fargo user name three times in the past month and had to stop trying to use bill pay will wells fargo. Not sure exactly what is going on but this is my experience.

    I am having the same issue with Wells Fargo. It has been an ongoing problem over the past year. It will work and then stop working. I have deactivated and reactivated more times than I can remember. For me, this is no easy task since I have 14 Wells Fargo accounts. The last time being just a day ago. It is still not working. I finally came to the community to find out if there is some kind of resolution. Wells Fargo has been particularly difficult the past couple of months. So the issue could be FMS Setup but like CAJ218 the link did not work. Please advise

    The link worked. Unfortunately, quicken still does not download transactions.

    Thanks for the update. In this case I would recommend contacting Wells Fargo to see what exactly is causing the issue. Quicken does not have access to the financial institution's servers to correct the problem. This may require you ask to speak with an online services specialist that handles transaction download issues at the financial institution. I'll leave Wells Fargo contact page so you can find a time that works best for you.
