How do I handle an Uncategorized transaction.

I had a transaction come across as uncategorized (despite setting it up previously). When I attempt to categorize it, Quicken keeps prompting me for a valid date.
Here is the screen I am presented with (see attached). It will not let me add it. Any suggestions?

    Afine, thank you for your reply. I think what happened is that because this was a bill paid today, Quicken didn't have a date associated with it. I closed Quicken, waited a few minutes and reopened Quicken and did another update. When the 2nd update was finished, it was still uncategorized but, this time, had the Payee listed. This time, all I had to do was fill in category.
