Bug report: Delayed answer to 2 factor authentication request causes failure loop

Procedure:
1. Do a One Step Update.
2. Move on to another task and forget about the update.
3. When I come back later, I will find a prompt asking me to select my two factor authentication code delivery method for one of my accounts.
4. I make my choice, click OK, nothing happens for a minute or so (and I do not receive a code on my 2fa device), and I am again prompted for my 2fa method. Shampoo, rinse, repeat.
The solution is to cancel out if I don't answer the original prompt promptly. That's obviously what I do, but it's an annoyance. Either fix the problem or time the request out and don't ask me for my 2fa method if I don't respond before the request goes stale.
Thank you.
