Is there a way to clear unwanted files from most recent listing?

I was tracking a issue using older backups and now my most recent file list includes files I no longer need or want to see. Is there a way to clear the listing so I see only the one file I want to see when I click "File"?

If the data files have been removed, just click on the file name in the recently used list and Quicken will ask you if you want to delete it from the list.Signature:

Hi Chris_QPW, It didn't work on all files. The files it did not work on were moved from one location to another. It does not let me remove, of course can't open because it not there anymore, and when I look at properties it will not let me change the location to the new location. I can open Quicken and then open the file and when I just click on icon it opens the file but I can't clear it from the recent file list.0

What you need to do is use Windows Explorer to either remove/move the data file, and then select it from the frequently used list on the File menu.Signature:

Or close Quicken and manually edit the file %APPDATA%\Quicken\config\QUSER.INILook for the [RecentFiles] section and delete the filenames you don't want to see.
Quicken user since version 2 for DOS, now using QWin Premier (US) on Win10 Pro.

Only remove the path and names of the files. Leave the 1=, 2=, 3= and 4= lines in the file.Quicken Subscription HBRP - Windows 100
