I have the same problem and the reason for this above makes no sense. If the update is pulled back then Quicken's "one step update" has a bug in it because it says one is available when it's not. This same thing happened to me last month and after going a couple of weeks where I couldn't get it updated, I called support and there was an update available, and they walked me through some steps to get the update to be installed. Now I have the same problem again this month.
AFAIK, the latest update to Quicken for Windows, R 63.16, R63.19, is in limited release and appears to have reached the maximum number of users. It should become generally available in a couple of days. The inconsistency between the two update check methods should be fixed by the programmers … I wish they would ...
If you can't wait, download and install the latest Manual Patch file from https://www.quicken.com/support/update-and-patch-20182019-release-quicken-windows-subscription-product
@UKR I think the latest update is R63.19 that is in limited release. R63.16 has been out since April.
Sorry. Typo. My first cup of coffee hasn't kicked in yet … ;-)
Sorry for the cross posting — see this other discussion on the exact same issue.
R63.19 has been available to everybody for a while now. Went to Quicken to "Check for Updates". Got this…. what's up Q???
R63.21 was available for a hot minute on Friday, June 13.
