Why was money taken from my account?

Today, my credit card shows a charge then a credit of $1.00 from Quicken. Why was this done?

    If it's time to automatically renew your Quicken Subscription within the next few days or weeks, Quicken Inc. will use this process to verify that your credit card still is good. If this process failed, you'd get warning emails from Quicken.
