Transaction entered with a future date: IGNORE/FIXED ISSUE

I accidentally entered a transaction for a date a week into the future. I need to change details of the transaction. The transaction shows in the Upcoming Bills/Income list, but cannot be selected. It does not appear in the register. How can I make changed to this transaction?

    Well you need to find it in the account register.  Is your register sorted by Date?  Click the DATE column heading to sort it.   If you can't find it you can sort the register by the order you entered it, that should find it.

    While in a register, click on "Account Actions", select "Sorting Options", select "by order entered" should get you what you are looking for. Or for earlier versions click Options at the top of the register on the right side.

    Thanks for the quick reply. What I found worked was changing the 'date' filter in the register from ALL DATES- to 'custom', and I put in a future date. Transaction was there.
