Can't see categories in report customization

The report customization UI does not expand to be able to show deeply nested categories.

    I figured out how to [workaround] this. You have to type the category sub-name that is just above the sub-category that you are interested in into the input box. THEN you have to mouse over the blank area that isn't displaying any category names. This will show a pop-up as you move the mouse past each invisible category.
