Transfer Shares (All Securities) generates Remove Shares Placeholder Entries in New Account

I used the Transfer Shares (All Securities) feature to transfer securities from one investment account to another.  This appeared to work as the transaction view of the destination account showed Add Shares transactions for each lot held in the original account.

Unfortunately, the Portfolio view of the destination account displayed none of the securities that were transferred into the account.  It took a little longer than it should have to find that Remove Share Placeholder entries had been generated for all of the lots transferred into the account.

To have the securities appear in the Portfolio view, I had to delete each Remove Share Placeholder entry in the destination account which were duplicates of the Remove Share transactions in the original account.

Is this behavior a bug in Quicken?
